Site Name - Tom's Field Campsite

Location - Dorset

I visited this campsite a few years back.  I was on a climbing trip with college and our instructor choose to stay at Tom's Field. I was surprised that the owner would let 6 tents full of rowdy college students stay on the campsite, but we weren't that bad, honest!

The campsite itself is very reasonable, on a slight incline but there are plenty of great pitches.  The shower blocks are kept well maintained, and the showers were 50p for a token. I don't know if they are free or more expensive now though! There is a little shop on site selling all your essentials, food, camping equipment and supplies.

The campsite is located about 5 minutes walk from the coast and it is a must to go and see if you visit the campsite. The walk down to the famous Dancing Ledge on the coast goes along a path, so you don't need to worry about trespassing through fields.

There are many traditional pubs around within stumbling distance and when we went we were fortunate enough to be able to join in with the local morris dancers that we're dancing outside the local pub. I say fortunate, it was a lot of effort but we got some morris dancing sticks for our troubles!

It is only a short drive into town so you are never far away from urban life if you need anything else for your trip! I had a very nice long weekend there with lots of climbing, the campsite was a welcoming rest!
